The 16th of September, the year 1958. Jennifer Tilly was born in Los Angeles in extremely substandard conditions. Her mother was an unsuccessful schoolteacher and actor, made a living selling cars while her dad was an auto salesman. Jennifer, the second of four kids in her family often accompanied her mother for her performances at the theater, and was very impressed with her. Jennifer's parents separated when she was five. Jennifer was a part of her childhood in British Columbia, after her mother and father moved to the province with their four kids. Jennifer did not have an excellent education, despite being a talented kid. As a child Jennifer was frequently the victim of bullying in Canadian schools. In the years that her interest in theatre waned, she began acting in theatre plays to help her mom. She encouraged her whole family to be passionate about the art of making. Her immediate response was to take the initiative.
